PK Bible Study is Back

Yes, you heard it right.. Our beloved PK president, Hannah Kadile, has brought back once more the PK bible study (and this time with a nose-bleed edition):

PK IPR at the Magdamo residence

After a very long time, despite the postponements, the PK finally were able to have their IPR. I for one thought that I won't be able to attend since I had a stargazing session for that evening. Then there was the venue problem, we planned early in the school year but failed to secure a venue. We jumped from Maxino beach house, Regalados, Marcellino Residence, till finally we landed in the Magdamo residence in Bantayan.

The place was ok, however we didn't have the luxury of wide outdoors for our station assignments. Well, the good thing was it was free and air-conditioned! (Tell me about it!)

We only had 3 new members added this time, unfortunately the others were not informed or could not join. Our getting to know activities took up most of our time; well it was funny anyway. Due to time constriction we weren't able to accomplish some of our objectives: delegation of tasks, assigning into committees and cell groups, and even the taking of attendance.

We were able to meet in the morning for our bible study plans. We moved our regular bible study sessions to Thursday evening instead of Friday.

We would like to thank Pastor Jerem for being our Pastor on call and the Magdamo family for the wonderful venue. Thank you also to all who made it.

Evaluation

Tonight, we will be having our PK evaluation. We haven't had an evaluation in years..hehe..

We will be discussing our different activities this school year and we will evaluate what we lack, need to improve, or should maintain. Also, we will have nomination for officers (at least 2 and at most 5 for each position). We will have the elections along with the CYF elections on the 10th.

Venue for our evaluation is at the toddler's room beside the Church office. Please be there by 6 PM.

To whom it may concern:

The Indignation Rally in relation to the Maguindanao massacre is not a program of the Pastors Kids fellowship. Although we sympathize and support the family of the victims, it is not our responsibility, nor is it in our power to organize a rally to involve the Silliman community and the citizen of Dumaguete.

Furthermore, the PK is not recognized and does not poses any authoritative jurisdiction to initiate and lead other groups to engage in the said activity.

Also, the PK does not hold any responsibility for not securing a city permit for the original rally date. The notice was addressed to the PK too late on a time frame when government offices were closed. The PK also do not have the experience of organizing a rally and are therefore un-aware of the procedure in conducting one. The activity was assigned to the PK without guidance and supervision from the person in charge of initiating the activity, who, not to mention, failed to show his presence to the PK in the original rally date, along with the days prior to the original event and in the actual event.

This activity is not spearheaded by the PK nor the University, nor was it addressed to SU Church who oversees the PK fellowship.

We express our apologies with regards to the conflict of the delegated task.

A PK and Visual artist, Emmanuel will give a lecture on Theology and Art. 2PM - 4PM at the MPR.

The Messiah Dec 5[Pilgrim & COPA]
A Christmas special at the Luce auditorium, 4pm. An oratorio by George Frederick Handel. Fellowship dinner follows after.

Human Rights Week Dec 7-13 [PK participating]
Human Rights Week - Upholding Human Rights. Distribution of HR material, petition to renew peace talks, banner contest, and light a candle ceremony. Pastors Kids will engage in poetry reading (speech choir style).

Halad sa Pasko Dec 12 [CEF-PK participating]
Chapel of the Evangel fellowship's Christmas Concert. In cooperation with Religious Studies Department and Casa Esperanza.
